Opportunities in the Antibody Industry: Interview with Leroy Hood, Institute for Systems Biology

In today's featured interview from Antibody Engineering 2013, President and Co-Founder of the Institute for Systems Biology, Leroy Hood, talks about opportunities in the antibody industry such as making antibodies more stable, less cross-reactive , and being able to produce these antibodies in a more efficient fashion. He also talked about developing other protein capture agents. He stated how the industry is moving toward the direction of more efficient capture agents that are more stable, sensitive, and specific. He believed that the biggest challenges were diagnosing patients with diseases accurately and Stratifying diseases into different sub-types to create proper matches.
